The main event this week is our field trip to Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard, a unique off-site experience that offers something for everyone. Kahuna and Nalu campers will have the opportunity to explore the harbor by kayak, stand-up paddleboard, or pedal boat, all in a safe and supportive environment with trained staff on hand. For our Keiki Campers, we will be offering scenic electric boat rides—a great way to enjoy the views and take in the peaceful coastal setting. To top off the day, we’ll be hosting a camp BBQ at Oxnard Beach Park. Lunch will be provided for all campers, including burgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers, plus plenty of sides to keep everyone fueled for the day’s adventures. It’s one of our most popular days of the summer, and we can’t wait to share it with our campers. Back at camp throughout the rest of the week, the fun continues. We’ll be breaking out the dunk tank, which always draws a crowd. Campers and counselors alike will have a chance to be dunked as part of this playful activity. Another major highlight is our Camp Talent Show, where campers are encouraged to showcase their unique skills—from singing and dancing to gymnastics, magic, or anything else they want to share. It’s always a light-hearted and entertaining event that brings the whole camp community together. We’ll also be offering a fun and creative craft project for our Keiki Campers: make-your-own visors. Campers will design and decorate personalized sun visors using paints, stickers, markers, and more. It’s a great way to stay sun-safe while showing off their personal style. With a mix of outdoor adventure, creative projects, and camp-wide events, Week 3 is shaping up to be a well-rounded and unforgettable piece of the summer. Week 2 at Aloha Beach Camp was everything we hoped for and more—full of energy, creativity, and classic summer memories in the making. Our campers jumped right into the action, and the enthusiasm was contagious! As always, boogie boarding and surfing were a major highlight. Whether it was a camper’s first time catching a wave or their fiftieth, everyone got a chance to build confidence in the water with the support of our experienced staff. The warm sun, rolling waves, and safe beach setup at Zuma made for perfect conditions all week long. Back on land, gaga ball was the game of the week. The gaga pit was never empty! Campers rotated in and out all day, challenging their friends and cheering each other on. It’s become a go-to favorite for burning off energy between beach activities and crafts. Speaking of crafts, over at Keiki Camp, backpack decorating was a creative hit this week. Campers loved customizing their own drawstring packs with markers, fabric paint, stencils, and flair. It was amazing to see everyone’s personalities shine through in their designs—and we’re already spotting those bags proudly worn around camp! To wrap up the week on a high note, we hosted a Pizza and Popsicles Day, a camper favorite. After a morning of activities, everyone gathered to enjoy delicious slices followed by refreshing popsicles under the shade. It was the perfect treat to celebrate a week well spent. We’re so proud of the friendships formed, the confidence built, and the laughter shared in just a few short days. Week 2 flew by, and we can’t wait to do it all again with even more surprises ahead!
