Dear Friends,
This email is to notify you we are postponing today's Aloha Beach Camp Open House due to high demand, and we are moving it to Monday, May 8 as an online Open House instead. We are glad so many kids have registered to enjoy the Aloha Beach Camp experience this summer. However, our offer to sign up with free registration has generated an overwhelming response -- so much so that over 100 campers signed up last week -- and we do not want to give anyone false hope of getting into camp. If you have a ticket to the open house, we will guarantee a space at camp for you. We are unsure how many spots we have left until all current registrations are processed. We will have a much better handle on space availability by the end of this coming week. However, rest assured that we are holding a space at camp for you, assuming you sign up by May 8. Use code FREEREGISTRATION to save $50 at checkout. We highly suggest signing up now to get a spot if you aren't already registered to make sure your child gets into camp. The open house has been postponed and transitioned to an online event on Monday, May 8. We will be sending out more information about the May 8 online event soon. You won't want to miss it. And if you have any friends who are thinking of joining Aloha Beach Camp this summer, please tell them NOW IS THE TIME TO SIGN UP, otherwise they might miss out!

Aloha Friends,
I hope this message finds you well. As the camp director of Aloha Beach Camp, I am writing to inform you that we unfortunately have to cancel our big open house at Zuma Beach this coming Sunday, March 26. Due to the recent rain and the cold weather that is predicted for Sunday, the conditions at the beach are far from ideal and would not provide a good representation of the Aloha Beach Camp experience. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. However, we want to assure you that we will reschedule the open house as soon as possible and contact you with the new date. Please note that the cancellation of the open house may cause a rush of new enrollments. If you were planning on signing up for Aloha Beach Camp, we urge you to do so now while we still have space available. We have received a lot of interest from families who were planning on attending the open house, and we want to make sure that you have the chance to secure your spot before it's too late. Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you at Aloha Beach Camp soon. [REGISTER FOR ALOHA BEACH CAMP] Warmly, Eric Naftulin As many families know by now, we had to postpone our Sunday, March 20 Aloha Beach Camp Open House scheduled to take place at Zuma Beach.
The LA Marathon and nighttime rain created problems, so we rescheduled the event. The new date is Sunday, April 24. This is an in-person event! Grab your free tickets here. We'll see you at Zuma on Sunday, April 24 starting at 1:30 pm for our next Open House! [FREE OPEN HOUSE TICKETS] Regards, Eric Naftulin Aloha Beach Camp We have made the difficult decision to cancel this Sunday's March 20, 2022 Open House scheduled to take place at Zuma Beach.
Rain is predicted Saturday night, which means the sand conditions will not allow us to host this event to our usual standards. You will not get a true representation of the Aloha Beach Camp experience. No one wants to play in wet and heavy sand! Further, the LA Marathon takes place Sunday, which will cause mass road closures and frustrating traffic from Dodger Stadium to Century City, including primary streets families will need to get to the beach. When we planned this event, we didn't know the dates coincided. We had an open house years ago the same day at the LA Marathon. This caused lots of frustration among families and prevented many families who wanted to attend the open house from enjoying the opportunity. We are aware over 200+ families were planning on joining us this Sunday and signing up for camp. We will extend the Early Bird Discount through the end of this month as a make-good for canceling the open house. You now have until March 31 to sign up for camp and still save money, however, based on high demand and very limited space, we highly advise against waiting that long. Later this week, we will identify 3 new dates for in-person and virtual open houses and private site tours as well. Adding these new dates and events will ensure everyone who wanted to attend this Sunday gets the chance. We will email you in a few days with the new date options. If you sign up now and then decide after attending one of these events that camp isn't the right fit, we will refund your full deposit right away. Thank you for choosing Aloha Beach Camp. Bummer we can't be together this weekend, but we will reschedule everything soon. All the best, Eric Naftulin Aloha Beach Camp We had a fantastic online open house last weekend! If you joined us, we hope you found it useful and informative. If you missed it, don't worry -- we've already got our next open house on the calendar and hope you can make it for this one. Aloha Beach Camp Open House Sunday, April 11, 2021Aloha Beach Camp is getting full, with demand for summer camp in 2021 already at an all time high. Don't miss out! Reserve your space at our virtual summer camp open house for Sunday, April 11. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Each year Aloha Beach Camp hosts a series of Open House events where kids and families can learn more about the camp, meet the staff and see how Aloha Beach Camp operates on a day-to-day basis. While Open Houses have historically taken place at Zuma Beach, this year we have moved our Open Houses online. The first Open House takes place Sunday, March 21 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm on Google Meet. Get more Open House information here.
Just in case we can't have the Open House in person, all is not lost. We'll have an online open house instead, likely on Zoom or some other video conferencing platform where we can still get together in real time.
Stay tuned for updates! Aloha Friends,
We hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe. We are contacting you to let you know that we are cancelling this Saturday's May 9 Open House due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Open House was scheduled to take place from 1:30 to 3:30 PM at Zuma Beach, Lifeguard Tower 7, where Aloha Beach Camp takes place during the summer. For now, we do not have an alternate date planned for any more in-person Open Houses this season, but we hope to re-purpose the May 9 Open House into a virtual event where we can meet together online. We are considering a Facebook Live Open House in the near future where you can meet our staff, ask questions, and see how camp operates every day all summer right from your own phone, tablet or computer. We will contact you again shortly once we have more details. Regarding camp this summer, we know you may have questions as to whether Aloha Beach Camp will operate. We do intend to operate, even if it means an abbreviated summer. One thing we are strongly considering is opening camp Monday, July 6 rather than June 15 as first intended. We will contact you soon with further information once we have more clarity about our plans. In the age of coronavirus, where the only predictable thing is unpredictability itself, one thing we do know for sure is that kids need camp now more than ever. After being cooped-up inside so long, there can be nothing better than a safe. fun, and healthy outdoor beach camp experience where kids can laugh, run, play and socialize with their counselors and friends. Accordingly, if you have not yet reserved your space at camp, you can do so with a small deposit. Deposits are refundable if you change your mind or it turns out we cannot operate this summer; we expect to make a final determination by June 1 about that. In the meantime, assuming it's "all systems go" and we are able to operate camp, we expect a mad rush for enrollment like never before. Please feel free to sign up here since space will be highly restricted on purpose this summer. That's it for now. Please stay safe. We will be in touch again soon. Sincerely, Eric Naftulin Aloha Beach Camp Sign of the times with the coronavirus public health scare. We planned to exhibit our program this weekend at the March 14 and March 15 L.A. Camp Fairs at Los Feliz and UCLA. We were so looking forward to meeting you, but unfortunately the camp fairs have been cancelled. Our March 22 open house at Zuma Beach is still on tap to go on, so get your free tickets to the event today and we'll see you in Malibu March 22.
