We Live In The Palisades, But Haven't Heard of Aloha Beach Camp Before. Is This a New Program?

We're not new! In fact, Aloha Beach Camp's been around since 1999 and this will be our 23rd summer providing safe and fun aquatic camp experiences for Palisades kids. Since our main base site is located on Zuma Beach in Malibu, we're not technically located in the Palisades per se. The reason we say we're a Palisades summer camp is because so many Pali kids attend our program each year and we provide free daily transportation for Palisades families to and from camp with a convenient pickup and drop off point at Pali High.
About Us

Three Age-Appropriate Summer Camp Programs

Aloha Beach Camp is divided into three age appropriate programs so campers can enjoy the best beach camp experience they've ever had with other kids and friends their own age while participating in a variety of camp activities in a specially designed manner just for them.

1. Keiki Camp for boys and girls ages 4 through 7

Our Keiki Camp program is the first beach day camp just for younger kids ages 4, 5 6 and 7 years old. Each day is filled with safe, fun and exciting summer camp activities your child is sure to love.

2. Kahuna Camp for kids and "tweens" ages 8 to 11

"Tween" campers get their very own beach camp program called Kahuna Camp. Many campers who've outgrown other day camps migrate to Kahuna Camp when it's time to step their summer up a notch. It's just about the most fun your child will ever have at camp...we guarantee it!

3. High Action Camp (For teenagers and older campers Ages 12 to 15)

As we all know, sometimes it's hard to find a summer camp for teenagers, especially when they themselves feel too old for camp. As a parent, though, you know your teen still needs social interaction, healthy outdoor activity, and proper adult supervision in the summertime. Our High Action Camp fits the bill! Complete with exhilarating beach and lake activities including Hurricane Harbor field trips, skimboarding contests, wakeboarding and jet skiing -- not to mention tons of other teenage kids your child's own age -- your teen will say Aloha Beach Camp's the best summer experience ever and wish they'd found us before!

Free Transportation From Pali High

Palisades High School entrance with Aloha Beach Camp's Pali High summer camp bus superimposed in the foreground.
Palisades kids don't have to go far to find a great beach. Many live so close, they're already in walking distance. Even so, why not join other Palisades families and take advantage of our free, convenient summer camp bus service which picks up and drops off your child for camp each day right at Pali High? The school is conveniently located 5777 Bowdoin St, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272
Your camper can meet our bus at 9am, and we'll return them child back to the same spot at Pali each afternoon at 4:00 pm. It's a fun, full day, and the bus comes included as a benefit of enrollment.  If you come across another camp charging extra for transportation, don't buy it!

What Are The Camp Activities?

Glad you asked! We say Aloha Beach Camp's the most comprehensive aquatic summer camp in the LA. area because we've got over 200 exciting activities and three different programs campers can choose from. From boogie boarding to beach hikes and sand sculptures to skimboarding, our activities are safe, fun, instructional and presented in a pressure-free environment according to your child's most comfortable pace. Nobody's required to do anything they're uncomfortable with, and everyone can do as much as they want! A partial list of our activities includes surfing instruction, boogie boarding lessons, boating and tubing at the lake, jet skiing (driven by the counselors), group sand games, candy lei making, leaf bracelet making, kite flying and so much more. Aloha Beach Camp's Counselors Are The Best!

You know what really makes Aloha Beach camp the best? Our counselors and staff! We're talking about an amazing team of enthusiastic young men and women -- generally teachers, child development specialists, activity professionals, and college students -- who've signed on to make your child's summer camp experience the best it could ever be.

You (and your camper!) will be blown away at the maturity, care, and attention to detail our role-model camp counselors provide.

They're all lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certified, and many are back for their 5th and 6th summers and even longer with us. As we always say, the mark of great camp counselor is the impression he or she leaves on a child after summer ends. We guaranteed your child will remember their Aloha Beach Camp counselor fondly all their lives.

Camp Registration Your Way, Not Ours

When you sign up for camp, you'll be happy to know you can choose your own camp schedule without conforming to preset sessions like other camps require. Arrange your child's enrollment according to any combination of days or weeks you want. Pick this day or that, a week here or there, even switch your schedule around as much as you need if something comes later. Here at Aloha, you decide which days you want to come to camp, not us!

Safety, Quality and Professionalism Wrapped in One

Sending your child to summer camp at the beach is sometimes more concerning for parents than choosing a more traditional program. We're aware of that, but please understand it's more perception than reality. We'll match-up our 100% all-time safety record against any camp's, so please don't let any unfounded fears stop you from letting your child enjoy an amazing beach camp experience this summer at Aloha!

Summer 2023 will be our 25th year operating our program with nothing more serious injury to a child than a minor scrape or bruise. Rest assured we've taken ever safety measure in the book to protect your child's safety while in our care.

If an activity isn't safe, we just won't do it, and if it's not fun, we won't do it very long.

The only 100% Accredited beach camp for Palisades kids and teens

American Camp Assocation Accredite Camp logo
Aloha Beach Camp is the only Accredited summer beach day camp for Palisades kids. Choosing an accredited camp gives parents peace of mind they picked a camp that meets or exceeds up to 300 best-practice industry standards relating to camper and staff health and safety; transportation procedures; supervision ratios; staff hiring, screening and training practices; program and activities quality; and more.
Here's something else you should know regarding safety. Aloha Beach Camp is the only Los Angeles area beach camp accredited by the American Camp Association.

Being an accredited camp means we submit to live, in-season audits by independent 3rd party officials from the American Camp Association who observe our program in action to make sure we're complying with up to
300 safety and quality standards relating to key components of camp operation.

Some of these best-practice standards include protecting the health and safety of campers and staff; staff hiring, training, and background screening; transportation safety; camper-to-counselor supervision ratios; program and activity quality; and hundreds of additional government-recognized and industry-accepted guidelines giving you that extra layer of trust and peace of mind that we have made the commitment to providing a safe and nurturing camp environment for your children.

We always encourage parents to verify whether the camp you're considering is accredited before signing up. If the camp you're considering this summer isn't accredited, we suggest asking the camp director why. Whether unaccredited camps increase your concern about their professionalism and quality, that's something only you can decide. But rest assured accredited programs should remove any doubt as to their legitimacy and credibility.
