A Beach Camp for Hancock Park Kids
Aloha Beach Camp is a beach and surf day camp for Hancock Park families who want something more exciting than a traditional day camp. Campers enjoy surfing, boogie boarding, kayaking, paddleboarding, beach games, lake activities, and more.
No prior beach or ocean experience is required. Our activities are instructional, age-appropriate, and taught step-by-step by experienced counselors.
Meet the Camp Director
Aloha Beach Camp is owned and directed by Eric Naftulin, who has been running the camp for Los Angeles families for more than two decades.
Eric and the Aloha Beach Camp staff focus on safety, fun, supervision, and helping every camper feel comfortable, included, and excited to participate.
Why Hancock Park Families Love Aloha Beach Camp
Many Hancock Park families choose Aloha Beach Camp because it combines the convenience of local transportation from 3rd Street School with the excitement of spending the day at Zuma Beach in Malibu. Campers from Hancock Park, Windsor Square, Larchmont Village, Brookside, and nearby neighborhoods attend camp every summer.
Parents appreciate that their children spend the day outdoors learning new skills, making friends, and enjoying active beach adventures instead of sitting indoors. Free transportation makes camp especially convenient for busy Hancock Park families.
Three Age-Appropriate Camp Programs
Aloha Beach Camp is divided into three age-based programs so every camper gets the right mix of supervision, instruction, independence, and challenge.
Keiki Camp
A gentle, joyful introduction to beach camp, ocean play, boogie boarding, sand activities, crafts, and summer fun for younger campers.
Kahuna Camp
Surfing, boogie boarding, beach games, ocean activities, and high-energy summer fun for kids and tweens.
Nalu Camp
Ocean adventure, surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, beach activities, and more independence for older campers and teens.
Flexible Day-by-Day Enrollment
Hancock Park families love our flexible day-by-day enrollment. Instead of committing to rigid sessions, you can choose the exact camp days that work best for your family.
Sign up for a few days, a few weeks, or build your own custom summer schedule. You can pick the days you want and create a camp calendar that fits your summer.
Free Transportation from 3rd Street School
Hancock Park families do not need to drive to the beach each day. Aloha Beach Camp provides free transportation from 3rd Street School.
Campers meet the bus in the morning and return in the afternoon. Our counselors ride with campers, supervise the bus, and help make transportation feel like part of the camp day.
During registration, simply choose the Hancock Park bus stop for your child.
Beach, Ocean, and Lake Activities
Aloha Beach Camp gives Hancock Park campers a summer filled with surfing, boogie boarding, ocean swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, beach games, lake activities, and more.
Activities vary by age group and daily schedule, but the goal is always the same: safe, active, confidence-building summer fun in a supportive camp environment.
Safety and Supervision
Safety is always our first priority. Aloha Beach Camp has served Los Angeles families since 1999, and our staff is trained to provide safe, supervised, age-appropriate beach and ocean activities.
Campers are closely supervised, activities are taught step by step, and ocean conditions are considered each day before activities begin. If your child is new to the ocean or nervous about trying something new, our counselors will help them participate at a pace that feels right.
Money-Back Guarantee
We want families to feel confident choosing Aloha Beach Camp. That's why we offer a money-back guarantee for eligible families who try camp and decide it is not the right fit.
Summer is too short for kids to spend time at a camp they do not love. Our goal is for your child to come home sandy, happy, tired, and excited to return.
How Much Does Camp Cost?
The regular daily rate for Aloha Beach Camp is $198 per child per day for summer 2026. We periodically offer limited-time discounts for local families, including Hancock Park families.
Camp tuition includes all activities, instruction, supervision, equipment, and free round-trip transportation from 3rd Street School.
