Santa Monica Summer Camps 2023

Summer Day Camp at the Beach for Santa Monica Kids

Aloha Santa Monica Families,
I'm Eric Naftulin, owner and director of Aloha Beach Camp, the ONLY  accredited  summer beach day camp  for Santa Monica kids.
Our program offers over 200 exciting aquatic activities, free transportation from McKinley Elementary School, day-by-day Al-a-Carte enrollment where you can pick and choose any days of camp you want (and change them any time!) plus a 100% money-back guarantee if you're not completely satisfied.

Aloha Beach Camp at a Glance

With summer just around the corner, I know how important it is to you to find a camp your child will love. That's why I urge you to consider Aloha Beach Camp this summer.

Whether you have a  pre-schooler experiencing camp for the first time, a tween who wants to learn to surf, or a  teenager who's outgrown the typical day camp scene and needs an upgrade from their usual camp experience, you'll be glad to know one of our three age-appropriate summer programs  is designed just for them.

Day Trips to L.A. and Santa Monica's Most Popular Beaches, Lakes and Water Theme Parks

Many exciting features set Aloha apart from other beach camps. One of the primary ones is the wide variety of aquatic activity sites and activities campers experience. Our program is anything but routine as campers enjoy day trips to Zuma Beach, Paradise Cove, Castaic Lake, Oxnard Beach, Santa Monica Beach, Hurricane Harbor, Dockweiler Beach and many other local beaches, lakes and water parks. With such a diverse set of new and exciting places to experience all summer, your child will look forward to coming to camp each day and never get bored.

3 Age-Appropriate Programs

Aloha Beach Camp is for everyone. No matter your child's age or previous ocean experience or swimming level, we have a fun, age-appropriate beach camp program just for them. All the activities are available to all the kids, but encourage participation, we will never make a camper do anything they're uncomfortable with. Campers are always free to choose as many or few activities as they want and to experience them at their own pace.
• Keiki Camp is for our youngest campers ages 4 to 7
•
Kahuna Camp is for the middle-age set between 8 and 11 years old
• And the
High Action Camp is for our oldest kids 12 to 15

Amazing Camp Counselors

Your child will love Aloha Beach Camp's counselors ... high-energy, goofy, enthusiastic role models here to make your camper's summer their best ever! Of course our counselors don't work for free, but they're not here for just a paycheck, either. They signed up to work at Aloha to make a positive, lasting difference in your child's life. Even kids who never liked camp before say Aloha Beach Camp's the best camp ever because hanging out at beach camp with our awesome counselors and staff and other kids in their group was the highlight of their camp experience. Meet our staff today.
Camp Staff

Low Ratios, High Supervision

Viewed strictly in dollars and cents terms, we know Aloha's not the cheapest camp around. One reason we'll never make excuses why Aloha Beach Camp might be pricier than some other camps is because we refuse to compromise on protecting your child's safety. We'd rather charge a little more so we can hire more camp counselors and provide better supervision for your child with camper-to-counselor ratios of 3 to 1 or less. Wouldn't you rather have as when our staff is giving a camper a surfing lesson -- it's a one-to-one ratio: just the camper, the counselor and the surfboard. What other camp can say that? So when you're considering a program this summer, be sure to consider value -- not just price -- and how the price of camp can mean more safety and fun for your kids.

Completely Customized Day-by-Day Registration According to Fit Your Busy Family's Schedule

Say goodbye to fixed camp enrollment sessions enforced by the camp and hello to completely customized camp enrollment on a day-by-day schedule you create by yourself. Choose any number of days or weeks you want. Pick a Monday here, a Thursday there. Skip a month. Come back for more. Change the days around if something comes up. Register for summer camp on your own terms, sending your child to camp for as many or few days as you want. It's camp registration your way, available now at Aloha Beach Camp.

Free Transportation for Santa Monica Kids from McKinley Elementary School

Don't want the hassle of driving your kids to camp yourself? Surprised to hear other beach camps charge extra for transportation? Us too! That's why we provide free transportation for Santa Monica kids with a convenient bus stop meeting point at McKinley Elementary School each morning and afternoon.

The school is located at 2401 Santa Monica Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90404. Morning pick up is 8:15 AM and afternoon return time is 4:15 PM. Our
counselors, many of whom live in Santa Monica, ride the bus with the campers ensuring extra supervision and fun.

Remember, this is a free service -- you never pay more for transportation!

100% Safe, Fun, Bully-Free Camp Atmosphere. 100% Zero Tolerance for Bullying!

In the interest of ensuring a safe, fun and happy experience for all, Aloha Beach Camp maintains a 100% bully-free environment with absolutely zero tolerance for bullying. All enrolled campers and their parents are required to sign an official "Day Camp Code of Conduct" indicating their acknowledgment of, and agreement with, this important policy. Courtesy and respect are requirements of the camp community, no exceptions.
Send your child to camp with confidence knowing they'll home sandy, happy and tired each day. We've been running Aloha Beach Camp for 24 years with no safety or injury issues beyond a minor scrape or bruise. Other than that, we have a 100% safety record and intend to keep it that way. So please don't think a beach camp experience might be less safe than a more traditional camp...because our camp is just as safe if not more so than any others you'll find!

The Only Officially Accredited Summer Beach Day Camp for Santa Monica Kids

Aloha Beach Camp is the only beach camp for Santa Monica kids to have achieved accreditation from the American Camp Association. That means our program has been officially recognized as setting the standard among other local beach camps for safety, credibility, quality and fun. As an accredited camp, you get peace of mind knowing our operation is monitored on an ongoing basis by 3rd party industry officials to ensure we meet or exceed up to 300 industry-approved and government-recognized best-practice standards relative to the key aspects of operating an above-board camp.

Aloha Beach Camp is the ONLY accredited summer beach day camp for Santa Monica kids. If the camp you're considering isn't accredited, ask the camp director why.
ACA Accreditation
Some of these standards include protecting the health and safety of campers and staff, operating our transportation program safely and efficiently, hiring and training our staff in the most optimal manner, and planning and executing our program and activities in a professional way.
While unaccredited camps are not necessarily "bad" camps, their camp directors might not even know the foregoing standards exist, let alone meet or exceed them. We urge all parents to verify whether the camp you're considering this summer is accredited, and if it's not, be sure to get a valid reason from the camp director why not.

Your Kids will Love Camp or it's Free, Guaranteed!

Summer's too short for kids to spend time doing anything they don't love, so I want you to feel 100% certain your child will say Aloha Beach Camp's the best camp experience they've ever had after just two days of attending. If after the first two days your child doesn't absolutely love Aloha Beach Camp, don't worry, you won't be out a dime. On the off-chance it's not a match, just say the word and we'll give you all your money back, even for the first two days your child came to camp. And by the way, our 100% money-back guarantee becomes twice as important when realize no other beach camps have one!
