If your kids love the beach, you owe it to them (and yourself!) to try Aloha Beach Camp. Over the past 23 years our program has become one of the San Fernando Valley's most popular summer camps.

One of the San Fernando Valley's Top Summer Day Camps

Aloha Beach Camp is one L.A.'s most popular day camps, especially among kids and teens in the San Fernando Valley. We take day trips to L.A.'s best beaches, lakes and water parks where campers ages 4 to 15 enjoy over 200 safe and fun aquatic activities like surfing lessons, boogie boarding instruction, sand castle-building, ocean swimming lessons and more on a daily basis.

Best of all, the
camp activities are instructional so no prior aquatic experience is necessary. Most of the kids attending our program haven't done these kinds of activities before. We teach campers how to do everything from the ground up at a comfortable pace they enjoy.

Kayaking at Channel Islands Harbor is a popular beach camp activity for our High Action and Kahuna Camp kids.
While we unconditionally guarantee your kids will love Aloha Beach Camp you, as a busy parent, might love it even more thanks to our unique day-by-day enrollment feature which makes signing up for camp a breeze.

With day-by-day enrollment, you can send your kids to camp on a daily schedule you create by yourself -- a couple days here, a few weeks there -- without conforming to any prearranged enrollment sessions. You can even register for camp at the last minute (space permitting) and make changes to your existing schedule if something comes up.

Bottom line, you don't have to plan your summer around camp sessions anymore. You can handpick your OWN camp sessions at Aloha Beach Camp. Come to camp for just one day, or several days, or several weeks, whenever you want at your leisure.

What Makes Aloha Beach Camp So Fun?

Female 8 year old camper riding a red surfboard in shallow calm ocean water her male surf camp instructor, Shane, holding the back of the surfboard to provide the camper with guidance, instruction, balance, assistance and support while she surfs.
Everything starts with your child's camp counselors. As you may know, the relationship formed between kids and their counselors is the first step to making sure they have tons of fun at camp. That's why our counselors are completely dialed in to making sure your kids' experience with us is nothing short of spectacular. We don't want your camper to say Aloha Beach Camp's just an "OK" camp. We want them to say Aloha Beach Camp is the most fun they've ever had at camp, period.

That brings us to our next point -- Aloha Beach Camp's programs and
activities.

We've got three insanely fun beach camp programs with hundreds exciting aquatic activities your kids won't find anywhere else. After they play the Starfish Olympics game and ride our Cosmic Water Slide, campers can make a delicious batch of Hurricane Popcorn and then ride their favorite surfboard from the ocean to the shore. After participating in so many fun activities like these, you can bet your child will look forward to returning to Aloha for many years to come.

Let's take a look at the three different age-specific summer programs we offer for San Fernando Valley kids.

Three Camp Programs for Age-Appropriate Fun

1. Keiki Camp for boys and girls ages 4 through 7

Four boys from the San Fernando Valley playing on their boogie boards at Aloha Beach Camp's Paradise Cove, Malibu summer camp location.
Designed exclusively for boys and girls ages 4, 5, 6 and 7, Aloha Beach Camp's Keiki Camp is the first and only beach camp program just for younger kids. Keiki Camp is based at Paradise Cove and Zuma Beach, both small, contained beaches in Malibu perfect for smaller kids. Keiki campers participate in daily Hawaiian-themed activities, aquatic sports and games, and enjoy an introduction to the beach and ocean environment. Many San Fernando Valley parents choose Keiki Camp as their child's first-ever day camp experience.

2. Kahuna Camp for kids and "tweens" ages 8 to 11

Three teenage girls from the San Fernando Valley enjoying summer camp together on their innertube at Castaic Lake.
When Kids reach the ages of 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, they begin to explore their independence. It doesn't take long for them to realize "status quo" summer camps won't cut it anymore. Many kids at this age have outgrown other San Fernando Valley summer camps and prefer the excitement of going to camp at the beach rather than being contained to a site-based facility all day. Our Kahuna Camp program is their solution! Kahuna Camp takes place at Zuma Beach, Castaic Lake and other L.A. area aquatic venues where campers go jet skiing, speed boating, wakeboarding and surfing among other exciting ocean activities. So if you have a child between 8 and 12 year old who's ready to move on to a new camp experience, we hope you'll consider Kahuna Camp this summer.

3. High Action Camp (For teenagers and older campers Ages 12 to 15)

Our High Action Camp is the perfect fit for kids who feel like they're too old for traditional summer camps, but still require adult supervision and worthwhile activities during the summer. Many High Action campers have grown tired of feeling like they're the oldest kids at other camps, so they switched to Aloha Beach Camp to hang our with other kids and teens their own age -- and trust us, there's LOTS of teenagers here! Not only that, the energy level at the High Action Camp is epic and the day camp activities exhilarating. It really is a whirlwind of excitement -- we call it "High Action Camp" for a reason; nobody ever gets bored here! From tubing and jet skiing at Castaic Lake to surfing at Zuma Beach to ocean kayaking at Channel Islands, High Action kids have a blast.

Is it Safe?

Now if you're like other parents, we know what you might be thinking -- you might have reservations about sending you child to the beach without you. Allow us to give you some peace of mind. Aloha Beach Camp is consistently noted for its excellence in safety, supervision and unique summer camp activities unavailable anywhere else including 5-star ratings on Yelp and Google, not to mention we are the San Fernando Valley's only summer beach and surf camp that's 100% accredited by the American Camp Association.

You'll be glad to know we've been operating Aloha Beach Camp since 1999 and have a
100% safety record during that time. Nobody's ever been seriously hurt, lost, or wandered off.

In fact the most serious injuries we've seen have been nothing more than a few minor scrapes and bruises. Aloha Beach Camp is very well-supervised not only our by own camp counselors, but the Los Angeles County Lifeguards, too. We also have an involved emergency back-up plan in place. Further, our counselors -- all of whom are lifeguards and trained and certified in CPR and First Aid -- will watch your child like a hawk while under our care and we pledge to protect your child's safety as if your kids were our own.

Sun Safety

As you can image, being at the beach all day means sun safety is a big point of emphasis. The kids apply sunscreen three to five times a day as necessary. The counselors physically apply sunscreen to the younger kids while assisting and supervising the older ones. If your child has special sunscreen needs we are happy to accommodate them. We also have many large tents and canopies all over the beach to provide lots of shade when the kids are on the sand.

Parent Visitation

The best way to really get familiar with how Aloha Beach Camp operates is to observe it when camp's in session. Parents are welcome to visit Aloha Beach Camp any time. We have an open door policy with respect to parent visitation where you can come to camp and monitor our safety program in action unannounced whenever you want.

Free Transportation Throughout the San Fernando Valley

Many kids who've attended other San Fernando Valley summer camps make the switch to Aloha Beach Camp each year. We hope you'll do the same, but we don't expect you to drive all the way to the beach yourself! Free transportation on buses and vans is included in your child's enrollment when you sign up for Aloha Beach Camp.

We have several convenient pick-up and drop-off points from Studio City to Northridge to Woodland Hills to Sherman Oaks to Encino and everywhere in between so you will not need to drive more than a few minutes from your home or office to meet the bus.

You will be prompted to pick your transportation meeting point on your child's enrollment form when you sign up for camp. We will pinpoint your exact meeting point times and location for you as summer camp draws near.
