Information Request, Employment Application, and Camp Application Forms
We collect personal information on our Information (Brochure) Request Form, "Join our Mailing List" Form, Employment Application Form, and Summer Camp Application Form. Depending on the form, our collection of personal information may include, but is not limited to: first and last names, e-mail addresses, postal addresses, age and grade criteria, credit card information, and telephone numbers. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13 unless we only use such information to:
Obtain parental permission or provide parents with notice
Respond directly to the child's specific one-time request
Respond more than once in conjunction with obtaining parental permission to do so
Protect the child's safety; or
Comply with the law
Uses of Information
Aloha Beach Camp uses, or may use, the information collected from its Web site for contacting online visitors in connection with our Web site activities including, among other things, answering questions, fulfilling requests, and providing information about our camp that may be of interest to online visitors.
For example, if you have provided your email address to us, then we may, from time-to-time, send you informative emails describing updates at camp and special marketing offers that may be of interest to you. Tell A Friend Feature
On our home page, and other pages of our website, we may offer a feature where you can tell a friend about Aloha Beach Camp by sending them an email. This feature is provided strictly as a convenience for you. We typically do not collect or receive any knowledge or information (personally identifying or otherwise) of your friend, his or her email address, or even whether you use this feature. Any such communication is solely between you and your friend(s).
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, utilized by most popular browsers including Netscape, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome and others. This technology allows us to use the industry standard encryption tools necessary to protect information transmitted between your computer and our servers. Please note that this technology is only in place on our Camp Registration and Employment Application Forms, and not on our Information Request Form.
It is our strict policy to create Web site content that requires minimal submission of personal information. The only information we collect is from the entries you or your child submits on the Forms mentioned above. No information is collected from cookies or other unseen means. If you have a child under 13 who tries to sign up for camp online, he or she will be instructed to get your help to fill out the form. If your child fills out the Information Request Form, we will respond to that request while asking your child for your name and email address. We'll then e-mail you to inform you of your child's request, and let you know that a brochure is being mailed to you. At this time, you will have the opportunity to request we make no further use of the collected information, including deleting it from our records. You also have the right at any time to review any personal information we may have collected from your child by contacting us using any of the methods outlined below.
We hope you enjoy our Web site. You can browse this entire site without telling us anything about yourself. To this extent, we urge you to be smart and responsible online. Do not give out your name, home address, e-mail address, telephone number, or any other personal information that would let somebody contact you (either online or offline) unless you get your parent's permission first. As you may have noticed, there are areas on our site where you can fill out a form to request more information about our camp, and even sign up for camp. If you request information from us, we will ask you for your name, e-mail address, and related personal information. We'll also ask for your parent's name and e-mail address. This is so we can contact your parents to let them know you've contacted us, and so we can tell them we've collected this information from you. If you want to sign up for camp, you will need to get your mom or dad to help you fill out the registration form.
